TERMS & CONDITIONS

 PRICING 

  • All Prices are subject to change without notice.
  • Items ordered in less than minimum quantity will incure a 10% up charge
  • Not responsible for typographical errors

 PAYMENT TERMS 

  • All first time orders will be shipped COD Money Order, CREDIT CARDS (Visa / MasterCard, Discover,) or advance payment. For COD Company Check or Net open terms we must have a credit application and letter of guarantee completed, signed and approved before terms can be granted and a valid credit card must be on file.  Processing time is about 21 days. If your account becomes past due your terms will be changed to COD.
  • All credit card payment will be charged a 3% processing fee.
  • Finance charge of 1.5% per month will be charged on all past due invoices.
  • Refused orders will incur a 15% restocking fee plus freight charges due.
  • Checks returned for any reason will be subject to a $35.00 handling charge and terms change to COD Money Order or Advance Payment Only.
  • Orders paying by credit card will be charged a 3% service fee.
  • The final shipping charges will be added to your order after it has been placed. You are hereby authorizing Jacobs Paradise to make an additional charge to your credit card for the shipping amounts when necessary.


SHIPPING TERMS 

    • Orders are shipped FOB Covina, California by UPS or common carriers of your choice.
    • Minimum orders $100.00.
    • It shall be buyer’s responsibility to comply with all Federal, State and local laws covering the items listed on this website.
    • All goods are sold for resale only.
    • Resale number is required with first order (California business only). If you do not provide a copy of your Resale number when placing your first order we are required by California State law to charge California sales tax of 9.25% .
    • Federal, State and /or local authorities may have laws or regulation related to the purchase, offering or sale of certain items. It is purchaser’s responsibility that applicable federal, state, and /or local ordinances will be compiled with in connection with the sale or purchase of any items sold by us. Any offering of any items whether contained in our catalog, price list or otherwise is void where prohibited.                                                                                                                                                                        
         

SHORTAGES OR RETURNS 

  • Jacob’s Paradise, Inc. is not responsible for losses or damages sustained during transit. 
  • Transportation companies will not accept damaged freight from us for shipment. A clean Bill of Lading, without damage notation is their acknowledgement that they received the merchandise in good condition. Safe delivery is the responsibility of the carrier. When you receive any freight, examine the packages carefully before you sign for the shipment. Be sure that the delivery receipt and the Bill of Lading agree as to the number of cartons.

  • Shipment Received via Common Carrier: If you see any damage or if the number of packages does not agree with the Bill of Lading, This is what you should do:

    First: Have the driver mark the damage or shortage on both your copy and the driver’s copy of the freight bill. Failure to have the driver note the damage or shortage may forfeit your claim against the carrier.

  • Second: Immediately call the freight carrier and ask that an inspection be made of the damage. If shortage has occurred, request that the missing carton(s) be located.

  • Third: Confirm your conversation with a letter.

  • Place your claim for loss or damage with the freight company as soon as possible; the time in which to make claims may be limited.

    Please contact us if we can assist you in any recovery against the freight company or loss or damage. However, the responsibility for safe shipment cannot be transferred from the freight carrier to the supplier. We are not responsible for collection of such claims or the replacement of such merchandise. Upon request, we will be happy to provide any documents on hand establishing proof of loss.

    If you discover concealed damage or shortage when unpacking, leave the merchandise and packing materials as they are, compare the merchandise with our packing slip, invoice and bill of lading; and call the freight carrier to request an inspection. If after receiving all the packages shipped to you, you feel our invoice or packing slip differs from the quantity sent, please call us so that we may investigate our shipping records.

  • Cartons must be retained for Carrier’s Inspection.  We must be notified within 48 hours. FAILURE TO REPORT VOIDS ALL CLAIMS.

  • To return defective merchandise contact your customer service representative within 60 days for your return authorization number.  Include a copy of the invoice.

  • All returns for replacement or repair will be taken care of only if it is found to be a manufacturer’s defect.
  • No exchanges will be given on items returned with missing parts. Used items will be discarded and no credit will be given.
  • There will be a 15% charge on items return with any type of label/stickers.  Warranty does not apply to used or tampered merchandise.
  • All returns must be prepaid or they will be refused. Returns are subject to our inspection. Merchandise returned and found not ours will be returned at your expense. 
  • No call tags will be issued for returns. Returns or refused shipments are subject to a 15% restocking charge.
  • NO REFUNDS, CREDITS OR DEDUCTIONS ALLOWED, EXCHANGES ONLY.

    NOTICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS: You are responsible for ensuring that you are eligible for the exemption you are claiming. Each state’s laws governing exemptions are different, and you will be held liable for any tax, interest, and possible penalties imposed by the member state if your purchase is not legally exempt.To determine what sales and use tax exemptions are allowed in your particular state, please refer to your state’s web site or other information available relating to their exemptions.
